THE THREE ARE ONE

Why did Jesus die on that cross?

Submitting willingly?

Sins penalty is what He took!

Claimed it for you and me!

.

.

Died that we need not die in our sins!

Projected!  Ever our time began.

He died for me and you sinner friend,

Sure, myself a sinner I am!

.

.

We live our lives in a sinful world

And the Holy Spirit cries!

The pride of life cannot help myself!

“Wages of sin…” I must die!

.

.

The Spirit woes but we disobey.

He pleads, “Do not do it!”  We do!

Holy Spirit as a Gentle Dove

With triune Godhead it is true!

.

.

One God, of course, the Trinity

God the Father, in love

Came down, the Son, to propitiate

Spirit, the gentlest Dove. (*)

.

.

To recap, baptism of Jesus

Spirit, symbol, a dove

Descended, baptism complete.

God smiles Spirit, His Love!

.

.

“God, in three persons,” threesome descend

In God the Son, He who died for us.

God the Holy Spirit in baptism

All One in Christ Jesus!

.

.

God the Father, God the Son, and

God the Holy Spirit

It is the Triune God, each One in One!

One God!  Simply accept it!

.

.

We accept Christ by faith,

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”

BAD BREATH OF THE HELL

Forgive us our trespasses

We pray again and again!

A prayer God gave us, meaningful!

Knew the nature of sin!

.

.

Knew every sinners heart He made,

Though sinless Himself!

Created so and then why?

Sin not left on the shelf!

.

.

Shelf so cluttered with our sins,

Cluttered, crowded so we ask why?

Created thusly, die the same.

“Wages of sin, what to die?”

.

.

Hellish torment suffered here

Same in hell but far worse!

Everlasting, not fun anymore!

Not enjoyable!  That curse!

.

.

That then is sins endless punishment

Foreverness there!

Not only hour’s not just days,

Yes, it is the sinners fare!

.

.

Sin on forever unmeasurable

Though measured still it is death.

“Wages of sin,” no life anymore

Except in Hells bad breath!

.

.

Of course, sin is bad breath,

Lives on forever!  Death means separation!

Forever!  God’s love unreachable!

That is Hell’s destination.

.

.

“Jesus wept!”  Was He thinking of

This tragic loss?

Is His death significant?

Can we forget the cross?

.

.

Forgotten by many!  Some did not know.

Have they another chance?

Christ of the cross died for all!

Just one more glance?

.

.

How many chances already given?

Near every day the call!

Love is when with Christ we walk

Not just some but all!

.

.

God’s children living everywhere!

Whether or not they call!

.

.

Call on the name of Jesus for life,

We live to instill desire

Through life we live by faith in Him!

Filled with His Holy Fire!

.

.

This old Sam will not get any younger

But God is still on the throne

And He has been there forever and ever!

I will live with Him never alone!

PSALM 119:97-120, READ IT

The Bible stands!  Sure, known as The Word.

Word of God, of course!

Testimonies it stands alone.

Ordinances!  With force!

.

.

Of course, commandments!  To be sure!

Believe!  Obey them and live!

Righteous judgments!  Can you not see?

Sure, promising to give.

.

.

Testimonies of all the Great Ones.

Statues, with all complete!

If we keep them!  But how can this be?

Heard of the Judgment Seat?

.

.

Sure, “There is none Righteous, no not one”.

How then anticipate?

The joys of Heaven?  “Wages of sin…”

“Death” to many, too late!

.

.

All hearts should tremble!  Falling way short

With fear of Hell eternal!

But Jesus gave His Life for sin’s wage,

Cruel cross, discernible!

.

.

Sure, the naked eye could see!  And cringe!

Sight of One hanging  there.

Held  by spikes to die painfully!

But the self-righteous could not care!

.

.

Suffered there!  Yes, the suffering Christ!

The Son of God who gave

His own life, yes, of course He suffered!

All my soul to save!

.

.

Reaction?  Surely it grieves the heart

Of God of love to see

The way we treat this knowledge, His love,

So adamantly!

.

.

Could not care less, our attitude,

Nails, spikes, a cross!

Wear it, see it, just everywhere!

Forgetting the pain, the loss!

.
