“GOD SO LOVED…” ISAIAH 9:6

“Lion of the tribe Judah”, “Bright and morning Star”

“His name shall be called, Mighty God…”  Ever near, yet far.

.

.

“Wonderful, Counselor, The blessed Prince of Peace.”

“…The increase of His government…It will never cease…”

.

.

“For unto us a Child is born,” Miraculous. “Son is given.”

This Son will be nailed to a cross, hands and feet nails driven!

.

.

This Son is nailed for our sins, upon a criminal cross!

This Son of God, God Himself!  Why should He suffer loss?

.

.

He took that cross for our sins.  He took my place up there!

The Sinless One assumed my loss, that no one else could bear!

.

.

Jesus, the only sinless man.”  No other man could show

Sinlessness to any degree.  Why God came below!

.

.

But before Christ came, a spotless Lamb, was sins sacrifice!

This lamb, this sinner presented, for it was sin’s price!

.

.

So “Behold, the Lamb of God,” John cried, “He who takes my sin.”

Only He can do it.  Receive Him!  Let Him enter in!

.

.

Just  what did He do, our Sacrifice?  He assumed all our shame.

He “became sin” and died there this is why He came!

.

.

Then I see Him, in the tomb.  Third day contemplating that death!

Those nails that has held Him there, drew a shuddering breath!

.

.

Why this torturous, hideous death?  Remember “Wages of sin…”

He took that death that we may find pure cleansing within!

.

.

All that we need, ‘Confess our sins’ to His forgiveness find!

The “Wages of sin is death!”  I choose life!  Now I have peace of mind!

.

.

God SO loved the world that He gave… and I accept!

ISAIAH 53

“He was wounded for our transgressions,

Bruised for our iniquities:

Chastisement of our peace was upon Him;

And with His stripes we are healed.”

.

.

It was my sins that put Him on that cross,

Every vile deed I had done!

He did not deserve but went willingly

Because He is the Only One–

.

.

Sinless, who could assume all our sins.

Mine, yours back to Adam and Eve

The Only One with no sin at all!

The Only Perfect One!

.

.

Godhead decreed as was prophesied

That Jesus would give His life

As a vile sinner for every sin,

To end sins death and strife!

.

.

Equip, yes, for heavens eternity,

Deserving of hell though we!

Punishment He took every lash!

Already half dead, for me!

.

.

Created us so he is responsible?

Is that not what we believe?

Then did He not assume it all,

On that black Calvary?

.

.

He died as a sinner, criminal yet!

Christ, The One Sinless One!

Capital punishment the cross!

Lifer, the chair, like, hung!

.

.

“God is Spirit,” the Three in One.

Dare any deny?

The Almighty, only Creator!

For all mankind to die!

.

.

Excruciating the death pinioned up there!

Suffering why?  You and me!

From the very beginning of time (*)

Torture determinedly!

.

.

Since it was love that put Him there,

Love only God can know.

The hateful defiled the hideous,

He died for all below!

.

.

(*)  God always was, contemplate but believe!

SUCH LOVE II

Someday I shall be like Him

My Savior from above.

The One who died to save me

More like Him in His love.

.

.

It was His love that made Him go

To that treacherous cross,

That cross reserved for wicked men

Our wickedness His loss!

.

.

If you cannot visualize the shame

Associated there

You need to now consider

Just what He had to bear!

.

.

Not just the anguish or the pain

But He, the sinless One,

Condemned to death as a criminal

God’s holy perfect Son!

.

.

But do not you know He had to die!

He had to go through hell!

To satisfy our perfect God

His love it was compelled—

.

.

“Would you be willing, Son of mine,

To go the sinners route?

To suffer, die, a sinners death

To bring new life about?”

.

.

Without a word, He nodded!

For this is why He came,

Became the human sacrifice

On Him all our sins lain!

.

.

Did ever such love and sorrow meet

Or thorns compose a crown,

A crown that could admit defeat

Our God must turn around!

.

.

He could not face the tragic scene

But, “God so loved the world

He gave His one begotten Son…”

The love of God unfurled!

.

.

FOR ME

It was not the matter of pain He bore

Contributing to His death.

Not even the nails that held Him there

That made Him gasp for each breath!

.

.

The stripes, blood spilled, the crown of thorns,

Looking I fail to see

Agonizing pain that He bore

His pain filled eyes on me!

.

.

It was for me He suffered there,

Not that we cared a lot,

So long ago!  Lord, make it real!

Help me see that black spot!

.

.

That growing spot that represents

My ugly sin that made

The Savior go to His cruel death

My sin was on Him laid!

.

.

What does my sin then represent

For me?  A trip to Hell!

But Jesus bore it on His cross

The sinless One!  All is well!

.

.

He died for me!  What can I say

Nothing to say or do,

Except “Thank you, Jesus!” everyday

Live for Him, brand new!

.

.

Living for Him I am often down

But looking up I see

Him in His love surrounding

Everlastingly!

.

.

Loving Him

MY SIN II

With my sins I crucified Him!

Shall I torture again?

A time ago I nailed Him there

And watched as He writhed in pain!

No! I did not enjoy that sight!

Knowing my sins put Him there!

“Wages of sin is death,” this I know!

Kept sinning without care.

Painful the death He claimed for all,

At least six hours hanging.

Spikes in hands and feet, we all saw

Wind moving the dangling!

Terrible too, how we tortured Him,

Of course, your sins and mine!

None ever suffered as He did there!

Christ! The sinless Divine!

Hypocrites only claim divinity,

‘No sin in me.’ they claim!

But, “All have sinned and come short,” (*)

Just One sinless, the name Jesus!

His death claimed your sins and mine!

Died for hypocrites, too.

Those who claim no sin in my life,

Have no better to do!

But sit in their self-magnified seats there

And write about other sinners.

Only ones who could not do the bad stuff

Priests, preachers, winners(?)

Then those who are saved by God’s Grace

Know what to turn from!

What must I do with the crucified?

Died for sins, every one!

Prayer for forgiveness would not hurt one bit

Forgiveness of sins! What else?

Then Jesus, He will teach how to really pray!

There is Jesus, only One Sinless!

A frock gown of self-righteousness

Just does not exist!

We sinners all! Must fall face down

To the One we resist!

I should be dangling on that cross!

Except for me He died!

Only One without sin ever!

Our King we crucified!

GOD WITH US

Did I ever thank you for this

Talent You gave?

Sometimes I forget, I seem to think

“It was all, Sam made!

.

.

Not in the least sure my thoughts elsewhere,

Frivolous activity

Just what applies to having fun!

That has always been me!

.

.

Tribute to boredom, what else to think?

I wrote A book, a time ago,

But for expression of deity

There has to be a flow!

.

.

Magic no, a far better word

What is better than, supernal?

Combining great with the Divine!

Considering Eternal!

.

.

Eternal His thought and His plan!

But Adam evicted,

No more the Garden the everlasting

Adam and Eve convicted!

.

.

Why did Christ die?  Divine the plan,

Not without tragedy!

Horrible suffering but for mankind

That suffering had to be!

.

.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His

Only begotten Son, that

Who-so-ever believeth in Him…

Everlasting life,” has won!

.

.

God wants His hurting people home!

Incredibly true!

So did He not prove that love

In dying for you?

.

.

Ana for me!  Yes, for everyone!

How figure the Deity?

Made everlasting space, the worlds,

Did it!  For you and me!

.

.

Then killed, penalty for our sins!

Know the meaning of Grace?

He, the Only Sinless One!

Died taking our place!

.

.

Emmanuel, God with us, and still above!
