I AM SCUM?

Someday I shall be like Him for I will see Him as He is.

This is not inconceivable the desire is not amiss.

.

.

To be more like The Master in thought, in word, and in deed

Is desirable and natural not signifying greed.

.

.

For geed is not included in the spirit-fruits we see

Gentleness and kindness these will last eternally.

.

.

Patience, love, joy, and peace continue evermore

They litter the fair streets of that everlasting shore!

.

.

The brightest smile imaginable will greet you over there

Whether angel or first arrival the greeting will not be rare!

.

.

Listen up!  We are bought with the blood of the Savior.

We are justified and cleansed from all debased behavior.

.

.

Just as if I had died but God did it for me.

I am cleansed, I am made perfect, I am now forever free!

.

.

Was not righteousness imputed to Abraham by faith?

Reconciled and credited, giving then a perfect slate? (*)

.

.

The witnesses of Hebrews 12, great cloud of scummy folk,

All anticipated heavens joys imputed, not revoked! (**)

.

.

I am scum but I am a child of God!  Please elucidate!

For if I should remain scum I may miss my date!

GOD’S GLORY IS ENDLESS

God’s fire streaks the clouds, white hot!

The thunder roars!

Rain down a symphony

And then it pours!

.

.

Making brilliant the skies above

With lightening flashes.

Bombarding blasts of thunder roll

Rain torrent splashes!

.

.

God’s glory!  Can it be described?

Oh, I have tried it!

Just one single thunderous blast and

I know I have failed it!

.

.

The sun breaks through, no thunder now.

The birds sing out.

It is music now, so quiet now

Glory all about!

.

.

But do not you remember the storm?

Hard to forget!

The heavens seemed to break apart,

Now peace and yet we do forget!

.

.

YOUR PERSPECTIVE

One foot in the grave the other on ice,

Is that the perspective now?

Our actual thoughts regarding the truth

Of pallor on the brow…

.

.

One foot on earth the other above!

Now there is a thought, mature!

It is nice to know where you are bound

Because we are going to die, for sure!

.

.

The older I grow more surely I know,

I am really just passing through.

My sight is inclined more surely each day

On that city beyond the blue!

.

.

If this is your perspective I know

You are living not missing a thing.

Your life is full, sure some pain now and then,

But assured of what heaven will bring!

.

.

Like peace and joy evermore!

THE WISE CHOICE

No confirmed unbeliever can inherit

Everlasting joy and peace above!

But the righteous made righteous be adoption

Are already ever living in His love! (*)

.

.

There is nothing that can separate believers

Who by the Spirit are reborn,

From God’s love who gave His Son to save us.

Can a child from his mother’s arms be torn? (**)

.

.

It could happen in this day and has happened.

But God has promised never to suffer loss.

The loss of any of His children who have

Arrived at acceptance through the cross.

.

.

The cross is historically factual

“Before Christ,” and after dated true.

Persecuted Christians gladly suffered

To gain heaven!  What else could they do?

.

.

Then you measure time to everlasting,

A ruler or math you do not need!

This beautiful life is but a vapor

The difference we all must concede!

.

.

So where will you spend the everlasting?

The choice is positively yours!

I choose Jesus as my Redeemer

To Satan and his tensile lures!

.

.

Calculus, you do not need to prove out

Or measure the best choice to make!

It is simple as knowing the difference

Between real joy and stake and bake!

I FORGIVE

Can God forgive when hearts are turned

From seeking Him, to sin?

Against His tender loving care?

Try proving, come to Him!

.

.

The proof is found on that one cross

With Jesus in between,

“This day in paradise with Me,”

And He found sweet relief!

.

.

The Donners, crazy killers,

Now walking in the light,

Can this be true?  Do not doubt it,

In heaven, what a sight!

.

.

“I never thought I would see you there!”

You greet with open arms.

“You either!”  The answer is clear

So safe now from all harm!

.

.

Yes, hypocrites, too, can be saved!

As the Judas followers.

The heart of Jesus, to “All who come…”

Cowards and deserters…

.

.

Ashamed to own Him Lord and King,

As Peter’s cowardice,

Did Jesus die for nothing then?

He paid each sinner’s price!

.

.

He died for me!  But my sins took

Me so far away from Him!

His invitation, “Come back now!”

Yes!  I found peace within!

.

.

Thank you, Lord!

AWAKEN TO SEE HIM

“My yoke is easy, My burden light…”

Why then do I struggle for sleep at night?

Pain that resists a comfortable rest?

Too often experienced miserable test!

.

.

Miserable feeling this sleeplessness,

Tempted to wonder and doubt, I guess.

Tempted, yes, but I stay with the Rock,

He will lead to that beautiful dock!

.

.

Final dock in that Heavenly cove,

Where dwell His peace and perfect love!

Contributing to my boundless joy!

With nothing left there to ever annoy!

.

.

Battles we lose but win in the end!

Decidedly win!  With God to defend!

Sleeplessly toss but cannot you see,

The many requests, “Please pray for me!”

.

.

Considering then forthcoming peace!

Nothing can harm!  My soul finds release!

So whether I die before I awake,

Or not sleep at all my faith will not quake!

.

.

Just to see Him there, immortality!

Clothed in His brightness for all to see,

All will see Him who love His commands,

Know Him by nail prints in His hands!

.

.

I love Him and know that He loves me!

I trust Him!  Though sleepless nights I may see!

If He wills I die what better place

To awaken to see His wonderful face!

.

THE SKY

The sky so blue, as endlessly

Displaying sheer majesty!

Countless the stars, shining at night,

Such beauty revealed to me!

.

.

Appreciative?  Surely cannot help it!

Am I then a rock, dirt that shows

Underneath those dirty fingers of mine,

Or beneath my shoes that shine?

.

.

Been a joy to write stuff for you,

I pray it has helped a bit.

Not like semaphore but a true message

Like real!  From the Holy Writ!

.

.

“Count, consider, it all joy!”  Sure a struggle to feel,

But remember that rugged cross

On which He died as a sinner for all!

He paid the price for our loss!

.

.

“Come unto Me…” is that not what He said?

Most gracious invitation!

“I will come to stay all my days,”

And think of the compensation!

.

.

Everlasting life with Jesus above

Consider Eternity!

Consider no enemy to shove

Or hand down misery!

.

.

Then consider Jesus, no beginning, no end!

Mightiest Savior of all!

Creator!  Redeemer!  And true through the end!

And on His name we may call!

.

.

Consider also, life with Jesus, always!

Everlastingly!  With no more fear,

Just joy and peace, time without end!

Happiness!  Endless cheer!

.

.

Is this then the end?  But who can tell?

Is not the end the beginning?

Of something, something far better?

Brand new!  Limitless inning!

.

.

But who is to tell?  Anyone left?

.

.
