THE TRUE WORD

Contingent upon nothing!  God’s Word does not comply

To sophisticated finesse or try to pacify

The arrogance of fledglings who claim to know it all,

Who trip on that stumbling block where Christ is all in all!

.

.

He is certainly a good man!  But then how could that be?

For was He not a liar in His claim to Deity?

Liar or good man?  Neither one for He was (is) God!

All His words and works proved that He was Lord of Lords!

.

.

King of Kings, who, in His love, proved true majesty!

Dying on the cross for all, setting captives free!

“A prophet, like, Mohammed…” oh please, give me a break!

“Mohammeds’ bones are on display.”  So Jesus was a fake?

.

.

Our Savior left the tomb complete, ascended to the throne!

“I go to my Father,” He said, and He was not alone.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the Three in One, all there!

The Blessed Trinity!  One God, the fairest of the fair!

.

.

Miracle of miracles, completeness, blest Trinity!

God gave His Son, Jesus died, the Spirit comes to me.

Look about you, miracles!  In everything you see!

And you will see another in God’s Eternity!

.

.

(“Who (Jesus) for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross;

despising the shame, and is now at the right hand of God,”)

ONE CRIMINAL

Truly amazing, just think of it!

God loves everyone!

The thoughtless rabble paid to scream,

“Crucify!” God’s Son.

.

.

If you are truly the Son of God, save yourself

And us!  One crucified yelled!

Yeah, save yourself!  The rabble echoed

Of cheap liquor they swelled!

.

.

Scribes, the Pharisees, and priests

Observed with satisfaction

This rabble rouser will not bother us now!

His miracles are done!

.

.

But the other thief had few words and

Full of self condemnation

“Would you please remember me when

You come into Your kingdom?”

.

.

“This very day…in Paradise…”

The Savior’s heart in tune

You will be with Me, I promise!

In spirit they communed!

.

.

Sure, suffering is a normal thing.

This sin cursed world, we do!

Consider, if you will, the cross

Unleashed agony!  So true!

.

.

Horrific, unbearable, torture,

Not just spikes through tender flesh,

Belabor spit and insults hurled

Not fighting it, longing for death.

.

.

Wanting to die but that last breath,

Difficult to ignore!

Wrenching, struggling, mouth open wide

With gasping reaching for more–

.

.

Air!  But not there anymore!

Sheer blackness envelops all

In an instant!  Then brilliant light!

Answering heaven’s call!

.

.

“Father, forgive them!” the muffled cry,

“They know not what they do!”

I wondered with my sinful ways

Did I know?  Yes, it is true!

HIS WILL UNTIL

His will until conflict, tragedy, forevermore

Gone once safe on that Heavenly Shore!

.

Child of God is safe even then

Psalmist experienced what God did contend!

.

So we like King David can know this is true!

From down within Shepard King knew.

.

We can know, also, so many centuries later!

God is on the throne still!  Tell now, who is greater?

.

Through tempests, wars keeping power still!

Keeps!  How and why because it is His will!

.

Worlds, the very atmosphere He created!

Endless space, hurricane you can see and hear!

.

Storms in violence do show a bit

Of His Power, who created it!

.

All in the heavens and surely the earth

We He formed in His own image in our birth!

.

One difference we are aware, He always is!

What more can express Almighty?  Who is!

.

Was a time when God was not?

Existence, always!  Forever cannot blot.

.

Cannot time presence that always was!

Or fact that we were made from dust.

.

Never was a time when God was not.

Pre-existence!  Forever!  Cannot blot!

.

Whose time presence that always been?

God the Father, God the Son, and Holy Spirit!

.

How can this be?  Then how miracles we see?

Look around!  Miracles will always be!

.

Life we call it not everlasting yet,

Exception spirit living on it is set!

.

By God’s Spirit alive and vibrant still!

Who then with fish did the oceans fill?

.

Spirit of man that no one can kill!

Until forever!  Or when God says until.

.

GETHSEMANE

He walked on stormy waters, raised Lazarus from the dead,

Took tax money from fish’s mouth, this is what He said:

“With God all things are possible!  Only believe!”

Still the disciples hard of heart, could not receive.

.

.

Five thousand people fed one day from a child’s pitiful lunch.

“Cast your net on the other side…”  They did, pulled in a bunch!

Saved the lost, healed the sick!  What more must the Savior do?

Remove the blinders from our eyes?  Yes, He can do that, too!

.

.

Miracles the disciples saw!  Still could not believe!

Then they saw Him raised from the dead, just too hard to conceive.

Today we see a sinner saved, changed to righteousness!

We doubt the transformation for miracles, we dismiss!

.

.

In fact, we judge that twice-born son whenever he goes through hell.

Conceivably a trip so real it is difficult to tell

If sanity has left for good!  But then at last we see

A test!  God saw me through my own Gethsemane!

.

.

Others, too:  “Savior breathe an evening blessing e’er repose our spirits seal

Sin and want we come confessing!  Thou canst save and thou canst heal!

GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES

God keeps His promises and that is, whether or not

We forget what we said.

The promise to supply all our needs

Not just our daily bread!

.

.

30 years in small churches I spent!

And spite of my faithlessness,

God was always faithful to me.

Not deserving, I confess!

.

.

There were so many came to visit,

Sure, fellowship to a point.

Then soon disagreements arose,

Just spiritually out of  joint.

.

.

Garret Biblical Seminary the

Culprit as I could see

Choosing portions, misinterpreted

Soon questions bound to be!

.

.

About the “Good Book” itself, Bible!

Conflicting thoughts arise!

Interpretation consistently to

So many doubts comprise.

.

.

Especially Miracles of Christ in the Gospels,

Such questions declared.

Lack of credibility in God as spirit

Who  operates everywhere!

.

.

“God in Spirit, they that worship Him

Must worship in

Spirit!  And in Truth!”  God declares!

Worship from within!

.

.

God is in you as you take Him

Person!  The Personality!

This is serious business as belief

Becomes in identity–

.

.

Knowledge!  How can I help credulity

In essence known factor

Every part of me and I in Him!

And He is my Contractor!

.

.

Developer, engineer, builder, and maker, God!

.

.

Sam (in-dweller)  10.19.11

“Whose Builder and Maker, is God”

SURELY, YES, THIS BOY

Transcendent how else describe

What it was that came over me?

This feeling supernatural!

Just Jesus there I see!

.

.

The trill so overpowering!

Difficult to compare

Impossible, in fact, there is just

Nothing like it there!

.

.

Anytime, anywhere, past, or present,

Or future except,

As conforming to the future bliss

As consummate!  Perfect!

.

.

The person, Jesus, above all things,

All unimaginable!

Things; Prophets, Kings, Priests devoid of

Virtue or undiscernible.

.

.

Material, so wordless, so impossible

Yes, condensing from above,

God became man!  And subject to death!

He died!  And we called it love!

.

.

Figure approaching, walking on water!

What we drink he is walking on it!

Like a spirit but can be seen!

Disciples, of course, are fit–

.

.

Fit to be petrified!  How can this be?

Boat full of fish!  Nearly sinks!

Shocked, of course!  Now look at Peter!

Walks on water, then sinks!

.

.

The Christ reaches out!  Does Peter

Become a spirit like Jesus, too?

Miracles, with Jesus about,

And what more does Jesus do?

.

.

Takes us up!  Way beyond any planet

Or star to where?  Suppose?

A place!  Sure, heavenly in heaven!

Delightful!  I propose!

.

.

Figure immergence, hand reaching down

To lift this surly scamp up!

Sam, by name!  To the heavenlies where

Many more saints will sup!

.

.

On heavenly, like, soup!

.

.

the Sam loves soup!10-13

FIVE-POINT CHARGE

Tumultuous the wind that grew that night!

Though I hid my fears and by candlelight

I made light of the storm, though first I had prayed.

Son, then on the linoleum, played.

.

.

Dad quite confident, so why not be,

While the storm screamed tumultuously.

Linoleum formed waves from wind beneath,

Ron jumped from one wave to the next, bare feet!

.

.

Jerome, Iowa, one of 5 points I held,

A five-point charge, Circuit Rider compelled.

Small, about 15 miles apart, a small,

Very small start.

.

.

Three years it grew, a move 2 less the points,

Does God take care of the ones He anoints?

And then some, new car every 3 years,

So many miracles He bestows, what is to fear?

.

.

God has supplied all!  What is there to need?

Elijah was fed by ravens!  The deed

Not too great for our God back then.

Daniel in a den of lions, safe from the men.

.

.

Miracles plus did not seem like much then so

But now I marvel as the wife and I go,

And we are still well supplied much we give away,

Missions, church, but what can I say?

.

.

Exceeding, abundant and away above all

We could ever “ask or think,” heeding His call,

To give, pay, the tithe and offering, too!

Time honored precedent nothing new!

.

.

Check it out, Saints of God, who do not brag as I,

For boasting is out, would rather die!

I was just quoting to encourage

To tithe and to give!

.

.

The “Liberal Soul shall be made fat!”

A promise, what to do with that?

I believe it and practice, of course, still!

I do not give enough, confess, Jesus gave all!

.

.

HIS LIFE!
