TITANIC THE SECOND

A lot of good work involved in

Titanic number two

Compared to the first one

Much bigger, better, too!

.

.

Yes, it floats and they boasted of

Titanic number one;

“Unsinkable!”  But it sank

Before the cruise was done!

.

.

Just what to say this, that

Good works cannot prepare

Anyone for heaven our

Good works cannot get us there!

.

.

Just faith in God’s grace

That is all the works I need!

I bask in His love and

“In green pastures feed!”

.

.

I have done nothing of real worth

Just love and live and bask

But when God gives inspiration

I consider it my task–

.

.

To produce from inspiration

And glorify His name,

It is because I truly love Him.

Do not want riches or fame!

.

.

And when I get to heaven (*)

I will fall down at His feet

And bask in love and mercy

His great sacrifice complete!

.

.

(*) Think I am being presumptuous?  Think the thief on the cross was, also?

Think you deserve heaven?  Think again!  I will pray for you!

PARADISE IS (II Corinthians 12:4)

I have no charge from God to keep silent

Over things apocalyptic by device.

No vision from God of the future

As had Paul of third heaven, paradise.

.

.

So why is it considered ludicrous

To contemplate imaginatively

The joys God has planned for His beloved?

Fantastic joys for you and for me.

.

.

We are to comfort one another with these words,

Words about our future God has planned.

Many mansions, so do not be troubled

And positions for many to command. (1)

.

.

Considering the wide open spaces,

(I do not mean deep in the heart of…)

Desert land?  Not nearly space enough!

But galaxies God’s space up above!

.

.

Ridiculous?  No!  I do not think so!

Ridiculous it is to assume

That every orb that God put out there

Is as dead as Mars or the moon!

.

.

So why is it thought of as peculiar

Assuming live planets, out in space?

Did God create voids unpredictably?

Not a chance, considering His grace!

.

.

He is gracious!  He is loving and almighty!

And He said, “I go to prepare…” (2)

In His house we are told, “Are many mansions,”

And by God’s grace there is one for me there!

.

.

(1) “   ruler over many…”

PERPETUAL GOD DESIGNED

Ever stop and consider

The wonders of God’s Grace?

His own perpetual motion

Spheres spinning out in space?

.

.

Will earth, one day, stop spinning?

And what about His love?

The earth upon its axis

It is all controlled above!

.

.

The spinning is timed perfect!

It is out of control!

The sun, the moon, the planets,

Well-timed as ages roll!

.

.

This is not accidental

Nor is His love for me.

Well-timed and orchestrated,

Along with grace so free!

.

.

Believe Him and accept Him

Yes, it is conditional!

He will not force it on you!

Perpetual, free, and full!

.

.

Perpetually inviting

“Come,” He invites you still!

“Delight yourself,” to love Him;

Start spinning in His will.

.

.

I cannot understand it;

Nor can you, friend of mine!

So why not name it proper,

Perpetual God designed!

EVERY DAY ETERNITY

Every day through eternity.

Visit to planets you and me.

Way far apart but no problem there

As spirits we fly!  For just half-fare.

.

.

For 95 years as spirits we know

With angels we get where we must go!

Like now not to keep angels awaiting!

In a flash there no hesitating!

.

.

Now brighten that corner where you are!

Traversing a continent not very far.

Light years it would take, like, running down here

Just think it, nothing to fear!

.

.

Spirit clothing nothing to fear

Immortality even down here!

Garments to last ever and a day

It is what I hear the angels say!

.

.

We folk can hear things as age 95,

Young folk cannot though they may strive.

Angel keeps whispering in my ear

Death just a transition!  You have nothing to fear!

.

.

Not that I am fearing death at all

Gasping for breath, not the call.

Resting, life, off more like truth!

Enter eternity, heavens booth!

.

.

Booth is wide everlasting the space

No ending eternal it is in God’s Grace!

Way before Adam then forevermore

All space to investigate that is Heaven’s Shore!

.

.

Impossible to fathom just who then

Can understand inevitable or contend

The transition to everlasting

At His command!

.

.

Did God make beauty we see

Everywhere?

So imagine what God’s Heaven is like

Once we all get there!

.

.

See the Sam there!

.

.

Coda conflict; tragedy gone for evermore

Once safe on the Heavenly Shore!

LOOK AT IT THIS WAY

Sin put you in prison for life!

Nothing to do but think!

Small window up high, stale air

To breathe, tap water to drink.

.

.

Hopeless there, four walls to see

Just two meals a day!  What crime?

Jesus comes!  Impossible!  But

Offers to do your time!

.

.

You stubbornly reject His offer,

Sadly He goes His way,

The gimmick, what does He get out of this?

You close your heart and stay!

.

.

Or this way:

.

.

Sins penalty, “sins wages, death!”

Jesus will take your place!

“Yeah, right!  What does He get out of it?”

Nothing!  It is only God’s grace!

.

.

Grace?  Of course you do not understand,

Why would anyone die?

Motive questioned?  Consider well,

“Grace, His love will not lie!”

.

.

Cannot trust yourself?  All hope is gone?

“Eternal life?  What is that?”

Dream world!  Come out of the clouds!

You are heaven, just way too pat!

.

.

Jesus promised!  Enough for me!

My hope is heaven’s shore!

Anticipation sheer delight!

With Him forevermore!

.

.

“Grace, God’s grace, grace that pardons and cleanses within!

Grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sin!

USED BY GOD

What kind of fool do you suppose

Would never pray before repose

Recognizing Deity

Supporting us continually?

.

.

What kind of fool am I to tread

The streets of doubt within my bed

And wonder, “Why this and that?” (*)

Getting nowhere my soul falls flat!

.

.

Do you suppose I will ever see

A tiny, tasty little pea

Complain about the bed he is in

Confining and protecting him?

.

.

Cannot have it all (someday we will!)

Do not you believe He is caring still?

That where I am going you will be

Happy, blissful eternally!

.

.

Different?  Yes, but will not be hard,

Will not need some stupid leotard.

Clothed as spirits, we will be

Used by God eternally!

.

.

Like everlastingly!  Do not you know

Just one dilemma where to go

With all God’s homes inviting now

Which planet would He not allow?

.

.

No problem there, would you restrict

Your son’s exploring?  Contradict

His need to follow freedom’s choice?

No!  You would join with happy voice!

.

.

Come!  Go with me!  To other sites

In endless space!  Our King invites

Angels leading through endless space

Exhibiting God’s love and Grace!

.

.

(*) We contemplate space with no ending and we,

Eternal, these words sending Eternal One, You made

us so no other place we would care to go!

LOOK UP

“…provoke, encourage, or induce

Each other to good works!”

What worse can be done than

Be reminded of our quirks?

.

.

Just one of them discouragement,

We give in to our feelings!

Instead of looking down, so much.

Look up past the ceiling!

.

.

Look up!  Observe the sky so deep!

Its depth shows it as blue,

The specs of clouds that float on by

They smile or frown at you.

.

.

What is beyond?  You have got to think

Infinity of space!

Is that all?  I cannot help but see

The wonders of God’s Grace!

.

.

A sin, I think, God cannot endure,

As I gaze into the blue,

Sin of complaint short sighted

We see enough but clouds it is true.

.

.

But even the clouds are beautiful

Look close, you can see a face,

And look it is facing upward!

Reminder of God’s Grace!

.

.

Yes, God is there!  He is everywhere.

He is even in your soul!

As Spirit, He can indwell, integrate,

Within or from pole to pole!

.

.

And remember, He is in control!

.

.
