THREE CROSSES

Sleepless no, not Seattle.  Placenta, I believe.

Thoughts intruding through the night, what I receive

Three crosses on a hill.  What else there?

On one cross, criminal!  What to compare?

.

.

Cursing his plight; as he did all his life!

Mean thief and killer.  A real life of strife.

All he knew was to steel and to kill.

Cursing his vile life there on a hill!

.

.

Center cross, a different story is told.

People yelled, “Crucify!”  Sure, He had been bold

To heal the sick, forgive sinners, raise the dead!

“God alone forgives sins!”  Priests truly said–

.

.

“This man claims ‘Godhood’, crucify this man!”

We know God in Heaven forgives!  Only God can!

Impostor!  Blasphemer claiming to be God!

Sure, performs many tricks hucksters can do more!

.

.

Calvary crucified!  The end of His tricks!

So now if He is able to escape this fix?

A borrowed tomb, many friends mourned as they buried,

Soldiers guarded, later the Mary’s.

.

.

Remaining cross tells a different story.

“I had to do it!  See, he tried to kill me.”

“When You come into your Kingdom, Remember me.”

Suffering Christ heard!  Through pain, gritting teeth–

.

.

“This day, in Paradise!”  You hear this now,

With Me you are forgiven as I truly declare

Kingdom or Heaven!   Everlastingly we will share!

IN HIS IMAGE

You have your Father’s eyes,

His ring is on your finger,

His robe is wrapped about you

Urging you to linger.

.

.

The banquets preparation

Accompany happy sounds!

The banquets in your honor!

Joyous laughter now abounds!

.

.

Your ‘sonship’ re-established,

Forgiveness in the air.

Tears of happiness flow freely

No room for sorrow there!

.

.

Guilt feelings, bad memories

No longer enter here.

The past is gone, forgiven

With not a lingering fear!

.

.

You are studying a portrait

Your Father’s loving face.

It truly is your Father

The eyes so full of grace!

.

.

Your eyes dart to the bottom

A signature with care

Bold, blood red it is written;

Your name is written there!

.

JUDAS, WAS HE SAVED?

Sure, we knew Judas as Jesus did.

Think He was fooled just a bit?

As treasurer, Judas, like, held the purse.

No, Christ was not fooled by it!

.

.

As a servant of sin he fooled no one!

Sure, loved money more than God!

When he threw that money at Pharisee’s feet,

Was it repentance in accord?

.

.

In accordance with true repentance,

Did he ever truly repent?

True repentance is followed by true hope,

As though receiving consent.

.

.

His spirit bears witness with yours when true!

We just know by faith forgiven!

We know, by faith, there is a place reserved

For this poor soul in heaven!

.

.

Great rejoicing!  We feel it inside!

Faith tells us so!

“Confess our sins…He is faithful and just

To forgive…” that sinner below!

.

.

God knows your heart, can you receive forgiveness?

.

.

Just me, Sam 60.02.11

I BELONG

In that forever by and by

On that fair cloudless morning,

When I meet my Lord eye to eye

Countless angels adorning!

.

.

My eyes will hit the floor and I

Will see the gold beneath me.

Not the gold but His eyes will glow

They seem to look right through me.

.

.

What have I done?  I know there is sin!

Angels quiet, looking stern!

I feel, like, I am in the wrong place

That I should be down, should burn!

.

.

I fall!  I weep!  I am a sinner!

Clouds in white gather around!

Angels gaze down on me, consider

Then I see smiles!  Not frowns!

.

.

One points, “He died!  You are forgiven!”

Then I look up and I see,

That smile so tender, yes in heaven

He truly died for even me!

.

.

What rejoicing in the presence

Of angels and Lord I adore!

Then I look up and see in essence

Ceiling!  And looking down, the floor.

.

.

Yes, it was a dream but encouraged

I arose up, “Now will not be long,

Next step heaven!  I am not worthy

But through Him I now belong!”

HE EXISTED

He existed before anything else was!

How could any have always lived?

Atheists decry injustice, should be thanking God

For ability to absorb this!

.

.

Was the sky always blue?  Sure, distance involved

With thousands of light years away,

And the sun, did Creator God do that?

So what is left for us to say?

.

.

Oh sure, the sky up there just happened to be,

Infinite God’s middle name,

For “In the beginning…” the Creator created!

All existence not the same!

.

.

Difference; the solar system to a tiny bug!

No comparison can be!

Can forever be compared to anything?

God’s pre-existence fair good enough to me!

.

.

We all need breath, spirits do not require,

Part of the sky, space, and spirits are

Far more real for they exist forever,

Never die, outlive that expensive car!

.

.

Multiple years to reach that closet star,

Is earth then clear out of it?

Earth is the very center if there is such,

As Hell is the deepest pit!

.

.

Space is forever as time surely is!

No limits, limitations only,

To we who make them fit our times on earth

Foreverness and never lonely!

.

.

I used to think, kids do, it was a wall

Way out there to keep us

From falling off into the abyss,

Out away from earth’s crust!

.

.

There is a great place called Heaven, I know,

No, I have not been there but I surely will,

Meeting His requirements and believing,

Forgiven!  He paid the bill!

.

.

With His own blood!   “…God so loved the world that He gave His only son

That whom so ever believes in Him will not perish!  Will have everlasting life!”

.

.

the Sam  yesterday

HE IS EVERYTHING TO ME

Two disciples,  “Did not our hearts

Burn within us, as we—”

Walked today where Jesus walked?

Like 2,000 years ago!

And what did you talk about back then?

Quite frankly, I don’t know!

.

.

So maybe we were, like, mesmerized

He talked of many things.

Did He mention how we are to live?

I guess, but memory clings—

.

.

To the future!  So hard to consider

Difficult to relate.

Futuristic, of course, what He told

Nothing like the ‘Pearly Gates’.

.

.

Everlastingly symbolical of

Richness, pure wealth galore!

Tipping the scales to, like, impossible!

Diamonds, rubies, much more!

.

.

But He just mentions then, like, in passing

Like, not important at all!

So nothing substantial, how did you feel?

Glorious!  Fantastic!  I felt,

Like, I ruled over all but who cares?

Just something God had dealt!

.

.

All of His children just everywhere!

They who believe in Him!

Red, the yellow, black, and the white,

All once enslaved to sin!

.

.

All the forgiven cleansed by His blood!

Washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

Changed forever!  Holy Spirit takes over!

I love!  And not just the Sam.

.

.

His suffering recalled, over all,

Many tears still flowing now

Sure, His death on that cross exactly why

Future in Heaven allowed!

.

.

Usefulness over poetry and such

Anticipating future, so rare

That nothing this world has to offer,

Can even begin to compare!

.

.

THANK GOD!
