“GOD SO LOVED…” ISAIAH 9:6

“Lion of the tribe Judah”, “Bright and morning Star”

“His name shall be called, Mighty God…”  Ever near, yet far.

.

.

“Wonderful, Counselor, The blessed Prince of Peace.”

“…The increase of His government…It will never cease…”

.

.

“For unto us a Child is born,” Miraculous. “Son is given.”

This Son will be nailed to a cross, hands and feet nails driven!

.

.

This Son is nailed for our sins, upon a criminal cross!

This Son of God, God Himself!  Why should He suffer loss?

.

.

He took that cross for our sins.  He took my place up there!

The Sinless One assumed my loss, that no one else could bear!

.

.

Jesus, the only sinless man.”  No other man could show

Sinlessness to any degree.  Why God came below!

.

.

But before Christ came, a spotless Lamb, was sins sacrifice!

This lamb, this sinner presented, for it was sin’s price!

.

.

So “Behold, the Lamb of God,” John cried, “He who takes my sin.”

Only He can do it.  Receive Him!  Let Him enter in!

.

.

Just  what did He do, our Sacrifice?  He assumed all our shame.

He “became sin” and died there this is why He came!

.

.

Then I see Him, in the tomb.  Third day contemplating that death!

Those nails that has held Him there, drew a shuddering breath!

.

.

Why this torturous, hideous death?  Remember “Wages of sin…”

He took that death that we may find pure cleansing within!

.

.

All that we need, ‘Confess our sins’ to His forgiveness find!

The “Wages of sin is death!”  I choose life!  Now I have peace of mind!

.

.

God SO loved the world that He gave… and I accept!

SUCH LOVE II

Someday I shall be like Him

My Savior from above.

The One who died to save me

More like Him in His love.

.

.

It was His love that made Him go

To that treacherous cross,

That cross reserved for wicked men

Our wickedness His loss!

.

.

If you cannot visualize the shame

Associated there

You need to now consider

Just what He had to bear!

.

.

Not just the anguish or the pain

But He, the sinless One,

Condemned to death as a criminal

God’s holy perfect Son!

.

.

But do not you know He had to die!

He had to go through hell!

To satisfy our perfect God

His love it was compelled—

.

.

“Would you be willing, Son of mine,

To go the sinners route?

To suffer, die, a sinners death

To bring new life about?”

.

.

Without a word, He nodded!

For this is why He came,

Became the human sacrifice

On Him all our sins lain!

.

.

Did ever such love and sorrow meet

Or thorns compose a crown,

A crown that could admit defeat

Our God must turn around!

.

.

He could not face the tragic scene

But, “God so loved the world

He gave His one begotten Son…”

The love of God unfurled!

NEVER EVER THE SAME

“How great thou art!  When I in awesome wonder,

Consider…”  Oh, give me a pen!

This I must write!  I must write! !  To tell the world!

The world of your greatness!  And then…

I must worship and laud your name!

They say but, You are never the same!

New morning glory!  Changing ever!

Predictable?  Oh no!  Never ever!

Oh my God, Creator!  Are You still

Creating?  Then if You will,

Create in me a brand new heart!

A heart of purest love!  And fill–

Fill it with Praise!  How can I not?

Glorify and, and praise,

Considering Your promises,

Praise You all my days!

A new morning, this one starting at two!  (2:00 a.m.)

I must arise and give praise,

My unpredictable, my unchanging Father God!

But predictable all your days.

Only in your love unchanging,

Often though, though to rearranging

Circumstances.  To develop

Your love unfolding to envelope.

Enclose and seal forever!  This child

Whose life will forever Praise!

Maker of worlds over and ever

Praise You all of my days!

Predictable?  No!  But yes!  In love for

God so loved the world,

That He gave His only begotten Son that whoever

Believing shall not perish.

His love unfurled, unequaled, and everlasting

Sam, just a grateful recipient

A DAY LIKE THIS

I stagger along, as the heat contends,

To jolt me to the floor.

Down for the count cannot get up,

Condition I deplore!

.

.

One factor only keeps me going,

This I will not give in!

Continued fellowship with my Lord,

This alone keeps me from sin!

.

.

Continued fellowship is the key!

Unlocks the gate to that city!

Quit or give in, the besetting sin!

Result cannot be pretty.

.

.

Turn my back on the Christ who gives peace?

Walk away from the cross?

Watch Him suffering there as I leave?

Confusion, only my loss!

.

.

I am one that He died for, you know.

Yes, I take is personally!

My name written there on that cross!

I belong there not He!

.

.

Not just mine but the sins of the world!

Oh, yes!  He died for you!

Admit to sinning!  You might as well,

For you know it is true!

.

.

This sinless Christ alone could atone!

For the sins of the world!

God, the Father, punished His son!

The sinless One in control!

.

.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave

His only Son,” to die!

Can you imagine His broken heart?

Sinners death crucified?

.

.

Angels gathered on that black day,

Nameless sorrow they knew!

Countless number, they hid the sun!

Moaning, like, thunder grew!

.

.

“Deliver!”  They screamed thunderously,

“No!”  God’s voice, like, silencing!

The quiet then in that blackest of days,

Provision balancing!

.

.

Accept or reject, the choice is ours,

Hell so permanent,

Heaven, our suffering for just a moment,

Wisdom’s discernment!

.

.

Thunder continues from time to time,

God and the Angels deplore,

The condition of men as they sin,

And crucify as before!
