IS THERE HOPE

Adam and Eve in the Garden, yes, they did surely die.

True, they lived on for centuries but in the eternal eye

.

Was a mere drop in a bucket it was not even a day. (1)

For while, “As a day is as a thousand years,” (2) a thousand years but a day!

.

Man would have lived on eternally!  One grain of sand by the sea

Could never begin to measure up or fit the analogy.

.

For infinity is the measure of space that has no bounds or end!

Just as eternity continues on!  It is hard to comprehend!

.

The angels are not eternal for they were created, too!

The angels are everlasting just the same as me and you!

.

Yes, man will live forever and where depends on his aim!

If he cares not about Heaven, his future?  Oh, what a shame!

.

The Godhead, the blessed Trinity, the matchless three in One,

Cooperated, conspired, and the universe was begun!

.

Yes, begun for creation continues!  It is a world without end!

Can man confine the eternal?  He will neither break nor bend!

.

Why cannot we confine the eternal?  When we claim He died long ago,

If God dies we die, too.  Who keeps us spinning?  Do not you know?

.

I am sorry you gave in so easily.  I would love to argue His case!

So what really does keep us spinning?  Only His love and grace!

.

Consider the brain, so intricate, only God’s love could conspire.

And what or who keeps the heart pumping blood?  The wind?  The fire?

.

Give up!  Nothing like this could evolve or start from whatever they say

The sun, the worlds in perfect control through time, like, night and day!

.

Another thing, division of time was not God involved in this?

Before Christ and after (3) so why not cease and desist!

I AM SCUM?

Someday I shall be like Him for I will see Him as He is.

This is not inconceivable the desire is not amiss.

.

.

To be more like The Master in thought, in word, and in deed

Is desirable and natural not signifying greed.

.

.

For geed is not included in the spirit-fruits we see

Gentleness and kindness these will last eternally.

.

.

Patience, love, joy, and peace continue evermore

They litter the fair streets of that everlasting shore!

.

.

The brightest smile imaginable will greet you over there

Whether angel or first arrival the greeting will not be rare!

.

.

Listen up!  We are bought with the blood of the Savior.

We are justified and cleansed from all debased behavior.

.

.

Just as if I had died but God did it for me.

I am cleansed, I am made perfect, I am now forever free!

.

.

Was not righteousness imputed to Abraham by faith?

Reconciled and credited, giving then a perfect slate? (*)

.

.

The witnesses of Hebrews 12, great cloud of scummy folk,

All anticipated heavens joys imputed, not revoked! (**)

.

.

I am scum but I am a child of God!  Please elucidate!

For if I should remain scum I may miss my date!

JUST CONTEMPLATING

Just what is heaven like?  Not too much comes to mind.

There is happiness complete!  But mostly undefined.

.

.

Descriptions often swarm of favorite spots on earth,

Giddy thrills complete with laughter, chills and mirth.

.

.

But some joys more subdued contingent not on place,

Dependent not on fixtures, guy toys, or pretty face.

.

.

What then can we say about this vast unknown?

Paradise, Third Heaven, so much to Paul was shown!

.

.

“Unlawful,” were his words regarding what he saw. (*)

Kept true to his vision.  He did not break God’s law!

.

.

But I had no such vision or law containing me.

All imagination and guess what it comes free!

.

.

Does not the bible tell us to encourage one another

With our future habitation with each other forever?

.

.

Consider God, The Father, loving us the way He does.

Would He deny any to those He dearly loves? (**)

.

.

Consider too, the suffering He bore for you and me,

That we may live in heaven with Him eternally!

.

.

So imagine what you will, you cannot exceed His love!

For your complete enjoyment, He placed galaxies above.

.

.

Many mansions without end!  Think there is room for you?

Would not be surprised!  With everyday something new!

.

.

So come and go with me to my father’s home

Where it is not against the law to investigate or roam!

.

.

Where you will never be kicked out for lack of rent to pay

Play with the stars and the satellites all day!

.

.

Now consider Jesus, who for the joy He foreknew

Endured the cross, bore the shame, did all He could do–

.

.

To prove His love, take us there, Third Heaven, Paradise,

His greatest joy to take us home.  All by His device!

GOD’S BOOK OF LOVE

I am just an old grandfather

As everybody knows.

Of course, they know I stumble

And stagger and it shows.

.

.

Nothing in my hands I bring

To offer or to give.

Simply to this clause I cling,

My life, my love to live.

.

.

Forever through my poetry

My stories and my song.

This old, decrepit soldier

Has lived his life along.

.

.

The sluggish path of hardship

That makes one hard and strong

Says nothing to embellish

Just join the hardship throng.

.

.

This someone called to help me

It was just a simple prayer.

The prayer was providential

For you see God was there.

.

.

A wonderful granddaughter

Prayed this prayer for me,

Find her in God’s book of love

That lasts eternally!

FROM SPHERE TO SHINING SPHERE

Constellations, galaxies, the universe explore!

The speed of thought takes me there a planet I deplore!

Five other saints accompany me, like angels, we are as one.

We get together comparing notes when the day is done.

.

.

But do not doze while others sleep we wander through each camp.

Deplorable conditions one can feel the grass is damp.

What to do, we have got to show them somehow how to live!

Babies cry, we have got to teach them what the ground can give!

.

.

One angel dives, puts a kerchief on a baby’s nose.

Mother stares then takes the cloth to stop the sinus flow.

She looks around a blanket settles on the two of them.

Mother sighs, she wonders where?  But she does not contend.

.

.

Seeds they scatter everywhere fruit trees all around.

Some of the fruit is edible which everywhere abound!

Fruit they gather place beside the snoring companies.

Fruit is found, taste, compare with the growing trees.

.

.

Trees are nurtured, seeds are planted where ever space is found.

An angel dropped a tissue and a blanket on the ground.

Another one had spread some seeds, the growth was garden greens.

“I think the life span here has stretched to fifty,” so it seems.

.

.

Perhaps our job here is done for now.  Should we return and see?

I miss God’s loving smile.  Yes, let us see what it will be.

What?  Oh project!  Yes, perhaps some realm out there will requires

Our expertise, like, growing things new life to inspire!

.

.

So life goes on eternally from sphere to shining sphere.

OUR ETERNAL GOD

Simplicity at its very best depicting the greatest act!

“In the beginning God created…”  We accept the greatest fact!

Not a tribute to the Godhead, He needs none, what He has done

Confirms the word, creation!  Magnificence begun!

.

.

Everything from nothing!  Naming everything we see

And what we cannot see, created and/or brought about to be!

In its cycle of fulfillment, winter, spring, summer, fall,

Wind, snow, rain, and sunshine, yes!  My God!  He did it all!

.

.

What we see and what we cannot see we still know what He did!

What better way to start your day than to bow down and to give

A pledge of allegiance to your God, made you from dust!

Acknowledge it, bow down in praise and worship!  It is a must!

.

.

At least we can own up to, recognize all that He has done!

Even heathen see and worship the power of the sun!

Yes, worship it, but everywhere we look cannot careless!

If I were God, I would give us up!  I am sorry!  I am a mess!

.

.

If I were God how can I judge?  I am nothing I contend.

Oblivion all I can see the only place to send

The conscious, the oblivious to all that God has done!

The heathen of our country do not know God’s only Son! (*)

.

He was born to die to save us then to live eternally!

With Him!  In heaven forever!  Why then cannot we see?

Silly pride, sophistication?  Just cannot admit to sin?

So heaven’s door is open now, but they will not enter in!

.

.

(*) Closed minds refuse to know!

.

.

God alone only is eternal!  He always was!  Pre-existent!  Had no beginning!  He was and is the beginning, no end!  Mind boggling, is not it!  Cannot understand but believe!

USED BY GOD

What kind of fool do you suppose

Would never pray before repose

Recognizing Deity

Supporting us continually?

.

.

What kind of fool am I to tread

The streets of doubt within my bed

And wonder, “Why this and that?” (*)

Getting nowhere my soul falls flat!

.

.

Do you suppose I will ever see

A tiny, tasty little pea

Complain about the bed he is in

Confining and protecting him?

.

.

Cannot have it all (someday we will!)

Do not you believe He is caring still?

That where I am going you will be

Happy, blissful eternally!

.

.

Different?  Yes, but will not be hard,

Will not need some stupid leotard.

Clothed as spirits, we will be

Used by God eternally!

.

.

Like everlastingly!  Do not you know

Just one dilemma where to go

With all God’s homes inviting now

Which planet would He not allow?

.

.

No problem there, would you restrict

Your son’s exploring?  Contradict

His need to follow freedom’s choice?

No!  You would join with happy voice!

.

.

Come!  Go with me!  To other sites

In endless space!  Our King invites

Angels leading through endless space

Exhibiting God’s love and Grace!

.

.

(*) We contemplate space with no ending and we,

Eternal, these words sending Eternal One, You made

us so no other place we would care to go!
