THE YEAR OF THE LORD

Adam and Eve in the Garden, yes, they did surely die!

True, they lived on for centuries, that in the Eternal eye,

.

Was a mere drop in a bucket; it was not even a day. (*)

The Bible says that a thousand years, in God’s sight, is but a day!

.

Man would have lived on forever!  One grain of sand by the sea

Could never begin to measure up or fit the analogy!

.

Infinity is the measure of space, space that has no end.

Just as eternity goes on and on and is hard to comprehend!

.

The angels are not eternal for they were created, too.

The angels are everlasting just the same as me and you!

.

Yes, man will live forever and where?  That depends on his aim!

If he cares not about heaven his future?  Oh, what a shame!

.

The Godhead, blessed Trinity, the matchless Three in One

Cooperated together and the universe was begun!

.

Yes, begun, for creation continues a world that has no end!

Can man confine the Eternal?  No, he will neither break or bend.

.

Who cannot confine the Eternal?  Do not you know He died long ago?

When God dies, we die too.  Who keeps us going?  Surely you know!

.

Our Eternal God, in infinity, impossible to trace!

So what really does keep us spinning?  Only His love and grace!

.

Consider the brain, so intricate, only God’s love could inspire!

Our brain is a miniscule fraction yet we presume to conspire!

.

Give up?  Nothing like this could evolve or start from whatever they say.

The suns, worlds in perfect control through time, like, night and day!

.

Now a glance at division of time, was God involved in this too?

Before Christ and after, Anno Domini, infinite and true! (**)

WHO, HOW, WHERE

Do you ever wonder, your thought expand in awe,

That the tiniest creation that centipede you saw,

.

That blasting sound of thunder that jolts you up in fright!

The steady sound of crickets that lull you in the night.

.

The living, lively voices that never seem to sleep,

That bull frog in the swampland with voice so rough and deep.

.

Ever stop consider the intricate design

The nerves, the blood bone structure so obviously divine!

.

Continuing this process, the tiniest of cells

The enzymes they produce; to tell us all is well.

.

What you cannot see that established well being

A confluence of streams in action without seeing.

.

The simple act of breathing; simple?  No!  Complex!

We cannot comprehend it!  Eliminate pretext!

.

Understanding, comprehending, only the Creator

Whose breath entered the clay.  Can anything be greater?

.

Could Darwin explain it?  He gave up near his death

Denouncing natural causes with his waning breath.

.

Many the dead planets that still keep spinning around

God’s perpetual motion so basic and so sound!

.

We too, will keep on spinning, eternity so fair! (*)

From mortal to immortal.  We will see the cause up there!

.

.

(*) Only God is eternal.  All man can boast is everlasting.

IS THERE HOPE

Adam and Eve in the Garden, yes, they did surely die.

True, they lived on for centuries but in the eternal eye

.

Was a mere drop in a bucket it was not even a day. (1)

For while, “As a day is as a thousand years,” (2) a thousand years but a day!

.

Man would have lived on eternally!  One grain of sand by the sea

Could never begin to measure up or fit the analogy.

.

For infinity is the measure of space that has no bounds or end!

Just as eternity continues on!  It is hard to comprehend!

.

The angels are not eternal for they were created, too!

The angels are everlasting just the same as me and you!

.

Yes, man will live forever and where depends on his aim!

If he cares not about Heaven, his future?  Oh, what a shame!

.

The Godhead, the blessed Trinity, the matchless three in One,

Cooperated, conspired, and the universe was begun!

.

Yes, begun for creation continues!  It is a world without end!

Can man confine the eternal?  He will neither break nor bend!

.

Why cannot we confine the eternal?  When we claim He died long ago,

If God dies we die, too.  Who keeps us spinning?  Do not you know?

.

I am sorry you gave in so easily.  I would love to argue His case!

So what really does keep us spinning?  Only His love and grace!

.

Consider the brain, so intricate, only God’s love could conspire.

And what or who keeps the heart pumping blood?  The wind?  The fire?

.

Give up!  Nothing like this could evolve or start from whatever they say

The sun, the worlds in perfect control through time, like, night and day!

.

Another thing, division of time was not God involved in this?

Before Christ and after (3) so why not cease and desist!

MAJESTIC GOD CREATED

Of course, He felt responsible, would not you or I?

For that little puppy, leave it out to die?

Crying for her mother, we took her away!

Soon he had forget with love, what is left to say?

.

.

Soon forget, boarding school, memory long ago!

As if I could ever forget, beautiful home below.

In the plains, while in these hills at 7-8,000 feet,

Himalayan hills with Mount Everest distant peak!

.

.

Snowy peak smiling down highest in the world!

At near 30,000 feet, towering uncontrolled!

Untamed near unclimbable, staring down on all!

Lower hills, Kanchenjunga jealous?  Not at all!

.

.

Peak only 200 feet below, Mount Everest, that hill,

What we called it next to the highest, though it still

Appears higher than the highest from that church,

At near 9,000 feet, hearts with awe to fill!

.

.

I knew that hill as Kanchenjunga way back then!

Appearing taller than Everest to this boy of 10.

Did they change spelling from I to A?  I do not know.

Wrote a story while back, Kin of  Kanchenjunga show.

.

.

Just how could Muslim or Hindu not observe

Towering peaks out there?

Higher than any mount around as

Not God created compare!

.

.

Made those mountains way, way back before.

Before any Hindu saw,

Before any eagle could fly near that high!

Near Hare-Krishna’s paw.

.

.

Dear God, I will never know how could they fail to

See that someone much bigger than

Any mountain, Everest or Kanchenjunga.

Great gulf of Creation, span!

.

.

Did not just happen!  Or mighty explosion.

Such, oh such grandeur,

Reaching through skies higher than any

God’s great Creation, for sure!
