ABIDE! JUST ABIDE!

How could we ever deserve?

Is this not why He died?

Did we not need a transfusion?

His perfect blood applied?

.

.

Adam and Eve from the garden,

They needed, as Abel and Cain,

Perfect sacrifice, Abel’s,

By the which he was slain!

.

.

The Passover Lamb, too, was needed,

Another symbol of the cross!

Blood on the doorposts and lintel,

Lamb of God suffered loss!

.

.

“Behold the Lamb of God!”  John cried!

What further proof do we need?

That Jesus’ blood was required,

Of course, The Savior must bleed! (*)

.

.

Why this provision required?

Could personal action suffice?

No!  “Our righteousness is as filthy rags.”

The Savior must pay sin’s price!

.

.

“The wages of sin is death!”  So He died!

Sin’s penalty, “Once for all,”

Was paid!  Our salvation is intact!

Just believe and on Him call!

.

.

Year by year animals are killed

Symbolism quite clear!  But

“Once for all His blood made provision!”

So we need to nevermore fear!

.

.

“What must we do then to be saved?

Receive Him!  Stay by His side

Believe, receive, what did Christ say?

“Abide in Me, Just Abide!”

DIFFERENCE IN SIMILARITY

Limb of a tree, God’s hand is showing,

So beautiful wild and free!

Compare, maybe, soft blanket cover

Comforting over me!

.

.

Dark with leafy the foliage, God can only do!

Appearing wild and free there

Same as the other foliage around,

Never variegation so fair!

.

.

Difference find in the similarity,

This only seeming so.

Same, oh yes, but vaguely a difference

Only God seems to know!

.

.

Difference can appear, oh, often times

Vaguely it is true,

Sometimes only Almighty can tell!

Sure, He’s among very few!

.

.

Made us from Mother of the seed,

Implanted in mutual love!

God only can do this richly

Watching from above!

.

.

Adam and Eve, the Cain and Abel,

Disastrous family.

The very first to set the stage

Then leaving decidedly!

.

.

Did Cain then gender the hot-n-tots?

The wild the almost fair?

Killing, eating each other to

The almost animals there.

.

.

I am happy to be just God’s son!

Delighted as can be!

See him soon there, soon in heaven above!

I love Him!  He loves me!

.

.

Yet as a sinner rotting in hate!

Decidedly to the core!

Jesus still loved me!  This I know!

And I will hate nevermore!

WATCH AND PRAY, JESUS’ VERY OWN WORDS

“That ye enter not into temptation.”

Temptation strong!  Devils a pro!

Bur fearing the Lord we can keep

With help of God, just say, “No!”

.

.

“Watch and pray,” that you do not give in

Primary!   Surely the best!

Temptation fails when we watch and pray!

Forgetting about the rest!

.

.

You can forget but the Christ does not!

“Abide in Me!”  Jesus cautioned us,

Sure, keep in mind the Adam and Eve!

Remembering we were once dust!

.

.

Abiding is this not the sure thing Jesus taught?

Study, read the Word, and pray!

Study always showing yourself approved

A workman inclined to stay!

.

.

“Watch and pray!”  Tempter then cannot

Find any place in which to hide!

See Him there claiming victory!

By Jesus’ blood-stained side!

.

.

Spear thrust while there on that cross!

His saving blood flowing down,

Submit to a bath in that cleansing flow,

Satan no longer around.

.

.

You just stay there, see Satanic loss,

He cannot do one thing!

But crow thinking he has won the fight

Wrong!  His demise to bring!

.

.

Calvary’s’ cross means Satanic loss!

Just how can this be?

Cross, Satan cannot touch any one of us!

The magic of Calvary!

.

.

No magic at all!  His death spells victory!

Died for all our sins!

Propitiation He claimed, cruel cross!

Our death like His own sin! (*)

.

.

(*) Only sinless One won!

ANGEL FRIEND

When young I imagined a wall, way out,

That marked the end of space.

Of course, I was right for there is an end,

The end is breathing grace!

.

.

And fortuitously this was accepted

As fact by those who traversed,

Readied for the atmospheric end!

And thus this end was reversed.

.

.

By an inner, endless, breathing supply,

(Do Eternal Spirits, like, need?)

My body housed now and functioning

By a diminishing seed!

.

.

As all seeds do eventually have

An end as their beginning.

This mortal undresses in immortality

Body is conditioning!

.

.

Like, Adam and Eve had it made, I am sure!

Where did glorified begin?

Answering a Pharisaical question,

Christ’s answer ends questioning!

.

.

“We will be like the Angels above…” *

With no sexes involved

Humanities end is its beginning!

Everlasting problem solved!

.

.

But it is way too much for this poor mind!

Endemic body glorified.

“We will be like Angels above…”

With this thought I shall abide.

.

.

Jesus’ words are good enough for me!

No more cohabitation!

“Like the Angels,” are those not His words?

A brand new dispensation!

.

.

In one respect I realize,

“Like Angels,” can this be?

Be, like, my friend by my side

Through this life Eternally!

CROSS – THE ANSWER

My God, You are so wonderful to me!

You are wonderful and I see,

Creator God and lover of a  !

And ruling in Majesty!

.

.

But despised and hated, Satan’s first cause.

Christ, rejected by men

Crucified, died in agony!

Still our Savior when…

.

.

Once accepted and leave Devils Den,

Saved!  For Eternity

Devil is angered!  And we rejoice!

Each day, forever FREE!

.

.

Your beauty exceeds all the Angels,

Reflected in all you have made!

That everlasting sky!  Gorgeous flowers!

Resting in evening shade!

.

.

Crystal pools from waterfalls fed!

Rocks made smooth by all

The water falling, weather beaten.

Yes, I hear the call!

.

.

Call of the weathered, stronger because

Of toughening storms of life.

As man, Jesus, stronger through trials,

Sleepless, praying through strife!

.

.

And truly dread through Eternity of

The life you would have to lead.

Suffering and crucifixion

Laughed!  As they watched you bleed!

.

.

Crucified GOD!  Hard to reconcile,

Their maker, loving, true!

Still He cried out, “Father, forgive them,

They know NOT what they do!”

.

.

Ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed,

Reflection of Satan’s place.

Cross only answer to sinfulness.

And Heaven’s Eternal Grace!

 .

.
