HIGH THE REACH

Need way more good thoughts less of the bad.

More of the happy!  Far less of the sad!

More about Heaven, of course, reaching high!

Air there is thin, but when Jesus is nigh.

.

.

Then purity of air and the breeze

Where beautiful flowers, tall as the trees,

Spread their fragrance throughout everywhere!

No need for artifacts, pretend to compare!

.

.

Perfumery needed beneath God’s domain!

To cover uncleanness, always the same,

Since Satan won, in that garden down there,

Only to lose our Heaven so fair!

.

.

Pure delight far above the sin land,

Where one can feel Satan’s heavy hand,

But no longer felt!  Sure, he is no more!

Cast out!  Unable to reach Heavens shore!

.

.

Delightful the living, no tempter around!

Deflated, defeated, and deep underground!

Satan forgotten!  Just Jesus abiding!

Goodness and joy forever confiding!

.

.

Forever!  If tired, of course, there is rest!

But with bodies glorified the very best

Is yet to come, when in spirit you fly

Transporting forever, just never die!

.

.

So have you considered just where and how?

Depends on whom or to what you kow-tow!

Stuff and things in Hell!  All together!

Down yonder with the best:  stormy weather!

.

.

If walking with Jesus, no need to fear!

Continue that joyous walk!  Ever near,

Just how can one lose?  Sure, lean on His arms!

Resting in Jesus, nothing alarms!

Sir Cox  –  the S. H.  1.11.12

.

.

Of course, I want to see Him!

Look upon His face!

A LIVE-IN SITUATION

Do I need Him?  Let me tell you

How I need Him every hour!

Every minute I am without Him

Life is meaningless and dour!

.

.

Every minute I am without Him

It is time forever lost!

When my life does not project Him

One lost soul could be the cost!

.

.

Are you driven?  Want to make up

For the time you have thrown away?

Not to panic!  He will not drive you!

It is His will for you to stay–

.

.

In the comfort of His Presence,

Weak or strong He says “Abide”!

Weary?  Fearful?  Invitation;

“Follow Me” with Him reside!

.

.

Often I have heard His invitation. (*)

Sorrowfully sometimes I have failed.

Failed to heed that invitation

Trudging, doubting, far off trailed.

.

.

Do not you see?  It is in abiding!

It is a live in thing each day!

Walk, not trudging, run, not stumbling

He will strengthen all the way!

.

.

If abiding in His presence

Strength each step He will supply.

“Running, you will not grow weary,” (**)

“Walking, faint not…” ever try?

.

.

I am running now, not fainting,

I am walking.  Try to see;

It is three hours past my bedtime

I am still plugging, doggedly.

.

.

No, not running, not much walking

I am still near eighty-five,

But I am doing what God’s directing

And He is keeping me alive!

IN HIS HOME

God wants to be your dwelling place,

Not a topic to discuss,

Your Good Shepherd to protect you

Or would you rather fuss?

.

.

About His many attributes

Not knowing Him as King,

While tearing Trinity apart

To treat it as a thing.

.

.

He prepares a feast for you,

A banquet in His name,

A contributory factor to

Worship and acclaim.

.

.

Not a topic for discussion

To wit; a seminar

Where everything is brought to show

His blessings from afar. (*)

.

.

You may draw closer to Him, like,

Abiding in His home.

As “He leads you in green pastures”

You will “Never walk alone.”

.

.

You are here in His presence

Now “Led in righteousness,”

I am “Led beside still waters…”

And I will settle for no less!

.

.

(*) As in conflict with close to Him, some folk cannot stand that.

QUALIFIED

One thought and you are in Tibet,

But who would want to go there?

Fly through space around the world,

Sure, twice if you find it fair!

.

.

But heaven is so much better!

My desire to fly!

Ability true always there!

But why even try?

.

.

Why even should I want to leave

With Jesus abiding there?

He who died for me on a cross,

Love there!  Beyond compare!

.

.

Lord, I knew as the years flew by

Depended on Him always!

‘Please protect’ as in wartime I cried

And ‘please help’ since day-by-day!

.

.

He helped every time as shrapnel flew

In that big one, W. W. II!

Sure, I just, like, took it all for granted

As we all often do!

.

.

Then an angry hum sounding like death,

And death it was, just four

Remained from this squad of twelve.

Again and again, no more.

.

.

No more replacements the word came through

Just to finalize

Same four that went through it all!

Began to realize–

.

.

That we still had a life ahead!

At least, I followed my call!

To tell again preachment of Grace!

That Jesus died for all!

NEVER FAILS!

Love not the world nor what is in it.

If love is for the world,

Love of the Father not within you!

Loving sin unfurled.

.

.

Unfurled complete this world in sin

Near everything you see!

Leads downward ever far from God!

The theater marquee–

.

.

Contributive to lust, the flesh,

The drawing power is there!

Sure, some exceptions but very few!

Rain God gives, sunshine fair!

.

.

Happy the smiles, small children at play!

Sweet innocence, what we see!

“Jesus loves the little children”

Free from sin, so free!

.

.

If we could stay that way, but no

Sinful Satanic the rule,

Change of heart recommends itself!

This we do not learn at school!

.

.

Spiritual churches leading the way!

Not complicated at all!

Christ and the cross served in love!

Some still learning the crawl!

.

.

Determining, do not always do it!

God is abiding from up above,

Sure, it is a  foretaste absolute!

In His presence there is love!

.

.

Loving Him, how can we help but?

He is our truest Friend!

He is if by faith acknowledge His

Keeping to the end!

.

.

End of time but beginning of

Everlasting presence,

He who made you, loving what He made!

Creator’s very essence!

.

.

Do you believe it?  Sure, faith required!

Doubting in dismay

Cry for God’s help, if in doubting,

Sure, not the way to pray!

.

.

If “without ceasing,” now can sin

Ever, ever prevail?

Keeping, abiding in His love

His love will never fail!

AND THE PARATROOPS

Following Jesus, not too easy to do.

Alone?  Sure improbable,

“My yoke is easy,  My burden is light!”

With Him not impossible!

.

.

Even near by, sure,we stumble and fall,

If not “Abiding in!”

But with Him controlling “Delight Abide”.

That’s dwelling in Him!

 .

.

Abiding “In Him!  And I in you.”

Can you consider easy?

Like, falling from a plane without a chute,

Could be somewhat breezy.

 .

.

Look!  See mother earth way down there,

A sickening feeling clings now.

You grim, sure, like you are used to it.

As though everything’s in control!

.

.

Sure He has seen you, like, jump before,

Appearing to seem so like real.

Could he see inside a quivering mess!

Could not see what you feel!

.

.

That look of confidence, so fake!

Sure, in appearance enjoy it.

“Stand up!  Hook up!  Stand in the door!”

Do as you’re told!  Abide it!

 .

.

If chute does not open, sure you have heard,

They will give you a new one!

Of course, all these funnies you have heard!

You fake laugh, dream, it is done.

.

.

You wake up shuddering, like, many times before,

Oh, many times, just a dream!

Sure,  just a dream!  Reality, too!

Heard it so often, that scream!

 .

.

“Get behind me and shove.”  Yes, heard that, too!

That confident look it lies!

Sure, I’m scared just like everyone!

Family Paratroop ties.

.

.

So, what to do if you make it down there?

Quiver hands on your piece. (*)

You have landed near enemy lines!

Fearful?  Just no relief.

.

.

Then hear  it now, “Lo I am with you always!”

Peace now fills  your heart!

If I, like, catch one, Heaven’s my home,

“Been with you from the start!” (**)

.

.

(*)  your piece, weapon

(**) Pure voice of my God !

.

.

‘Lo I am with you, like, always,  even to….”

 .

.

Sure it is me:  Sambo  09.03.11
