SUCH LOVE II

Someday I shall be like Him

My Savior from above.

The One who died to save me

More like Him in His love.

.

.

It was His love that made Him go

To that treacherous cross,

That cross reserved for wicked men

Our wickedness His loss!

.

.

If you cannot visualize the shame

Associated there

You need to now consider

Just what He had to bear!

.

.

Not just the anguish or the pain

But He, the sinless One,

Condemned to death as a criminal

God’s holy perfect Son!

.

.

But do not you know He had to die!

He had to go through hell!

To satisfy our perfect God

His love it was compelled—

.

.

“Would you be willing, Son of mine,

To go the sinners route?

To suffer, die, a sinners death

To bring new life about?”

.

.

Without a word, He nodded!

For this is why He came,

Became the human sacrifice

On Him all our sins lain!

.

.

Did ever such love and sorrow meet

Or thorns compose a crown,

A crown that could admit defeat

Our God must turn around!

.

.

He could not face the tragic scene

But, “God so loved the world

He gave His one begotten Son…”

The love of God unfurled!

.

.

  1. Hi there, I do think your website may be having internet browser compatibility issues. When I take a look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in I.E., it’s got some overlapping issues. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Besides that, fantastic website!
