Dance me around those stars, stars in Heaven!

Moon, we will not need no more!

Where The Christ brightly shines everywhere!

Will not need no windows nor door!

As Saints, we will contribute to that light!

Are we not lights in the world?

And we will be like Jesus, up there!

Shining brightly!  I am told!

Since we will be like Jesus up there!

Should we not practice down here?

To be like Jesus, this is my song!

As I hold Him so dear!

But do not take me wrong, no one can take

Countless stars by the tail,

Then whirl them around the universe.

Satan may try, but he would fail!

This chatter is not foolish, at all!

My God can do anything!

Put a block wall around the whole works,

But that is not what we sing!

Ceaseless, endless, Eternal is He!

From everlasting the same!

Maker of stars, unending, look up!

Some clear night!  Jehovah, the same!

Brightness you will see!  To make the sun

Look dim, His Majesty!

Light, sure our eyes will accustom!

Behold!  Unsquintingly.

Thinking, too, of His cleansing blood

Flowing from that Cross!

Left side pierced on hanging there!

Our great gain!  His loss!

“What can wash away our sin?  Nothing

But the blood of Jesus!”

What is He thinking with waning breath?

Giving His life to save us?

A soldier dropped into my foxhole,

True, World War Two!

“I am still an Atheist,” he boasted.

What say you to do?

I stared back, “You are in a rut!

Need to get out of that zoo!”

Up from the grave He  arose!

Withering blast!  To all foes!

Wonder what countless G.I.’s thought,

Blood split still flows!
