TAKE ME HOME

Not yet He answers.

More work you have to do!

More poems to write, I realize

When will I ever be through?

.

.

My thoughts in writing my God acclaims!

Important to many below!

I see hands outstretched to receive

Accepting my thoughts to know–

.

.

That someone cares up above!

Whoever delights in me,

Whenever, like, at last living breath,

Or under a banana tree.

.

.

Wherever you are in this sin-cursed world

Hungry, cold, or just plain lost,

Let Jesus find you!  Just reach out

To the crucified!  The cost?

.

.

Agony!  His anticipated death,

Anticipated forever!

To free us with last agonized breath!

Before Angels discovered!

.

.

Before ever, Angelic hosts

Heard of crucifixion

The blackness settling over the earth

Angels gathered to question!

.

.

WHY?  The question from this hovering crowd

He left Heaven to save!

This multitude, devils from hell!

The Son of God just gave!

.

.

Gave His life for them, the destitute

From times very beginning,

To save people from everlasting Hell!

Resulting from their sinning!

.

.

Devil and his angels, crowed in delight!

.

.
