HE IS EVERYTHING TO ME

Two disciples,  “Did not our hearts

Burn within us, as we—”

Walked today where Jesus walked?

Like 2,000 years ago!

And what did you talk about back then?

Quite frankly, I don’t know!

.

.

So maybe we were, like, mesmerized

He talked of many things.

Did He mention how we are to live?

I guess, but memory clings—

.

.

To the future!  So hard to consider

Difficult to relate.

Futuristic, of course, what He told

Nothing like the ‘Pearly Gates’.

.

.

Everlastingly symbolical of

Richness, pure wealth galore!

Tipping the scales to, like, impossible!

Diamonds, rubies, much more!

.

.

But He just mentions then, like, in passing

Like, not important at all!

So nothing substantial, how did you feel?

Glorious!  Fantastic!  I felt,

Like, I ruled over all but who cares?

Just something God had dealt!

.

.

All of His children just everywhere!

They who believe in Him!

Red, the yellow, black, and the white,

All once enslaved to sin!

.

.

All the forgiven cleansed by His blood!

Washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

Changed forever!  Holy Spirit takes over!

I love!  And not just the Sam.

.

.

His suffering recalled, over all,

Many tears still flowing now

Sure, His death on that cross exactly why

Future in Heaven allowed!

.

.

Usefulness over poetry and such

Anticipating future, so rare

That nothing this world has to offer,

Can even begin to compare!

.

.

THANK GOD!

.

.
